AFI (A Fire Inside) is an American rock band formed in Ukiah, California, in 1991. They are renowned for their dramatic musical evolution, starting as a high-octane hardcore punk band in the 1990s and transitioning into horror punk, emo, alternative rock, and gothic rock.Since 1998, the band's definitive lineup has consisted of lead vocalist Davey Havok, drummer Adam Carson (the sole remaining original members), bassist Hunter Burgan, and guitarist Jade Puget.
