The Scorpions Fly To The Rainbow Vinyl is a great pick for fans of the German hard rock band and for anyone who loves the sound of an analog record. Fly To The Rainbow is the band’s second studio album, released in 1974, and an early document of the heavy, melodic style that would carry them to worldwide fame in the years to come. If you’re a fan who loves hearing a band at the start of its journey, it’s a fine addition to your collection.
Vinyl is about more than the music. Dropping the needle, flipping the record and holding the sleeve in your hands makes for a more focused kind of listening than a playlist, and a full-size album cover gives you artwork to enjoy that a screen can’t match. It’s a great way to spend an evening, whether you’re listening alone or sharing a record with friends.
It also makes a thoughtful gift for the classic rock and metal fan in your life, whether it’s for a birthday, the holidays or a surprise just because. And if you collect records, a Scorpions album from the band’s early years is a worthwhile piece to have on the shelf, and one you’ll want to play, not just display.
