The Warpig is one of the great logos in heavy music — tusks, horns, chains, the whole snarling thing. Lemmy had it from the first album onwards, and it became as much a part of Motörhead as the bass tone. Nobody who knows the band needs it explained.
On a wristband it works because it’s always there. You put one on and stop noticing it, and it carries on doing its job through work, the gym, the commute and whatever else the day involves. Shirts get saved for occasions. A wristband doesn’t — it just gets worn, every day, until it’s part of how you look rather than something you decided on that morning.
It stacks well too. Most people who wear one end up wearing several, built up over years from shows and shops, and this sits comfortably in among whatever else is already on your wrist.
Motörhead were never a band about restraint, and the Warpig is the least restrained logo they could have picked. Wearing it daily is probably the most appropriate way to own it.
