The Beyond Creation Earthborn Evolution Vinyl is a great pick for fans of the Canadian technical death metal band and for anyone who loves the sound of an analog record. Earthborn Evolution is the group’s debut album from 2011, a record admired for its dizzying speed, fretless bass work and intricate, progressive songwriting that helped put the band on the map. If you love music that rewards close listening, it’s a great fit for the turntable.
Vinyl is about more than the music. Dropping the needle, flipping the record and holding the sleeve in your hands makes for a more focused kind of listening than a playlist, and a full-size album cover gives you artwork to enjoy that a screen can’t match. It’s a great way to spend an evening, whether you’re listening alone or sharing a record with friends.
It also makes a thoughtful gift for the death metal fan in your life, whether it’s for a birthday, the holidays or a surprise just because. And if you collect records, a Beyond Creation album is a worthwhile piece to have on the shelf, and one you’ll want to play, not just display.
